Who we are

What the game stores

So you can pick up where you left off, the game saves the following on your own device: your current reign, your record (generals, longest reign, victories, endings, deeds and relics found, and a list of your recent reigns), your kingdom's renown, buildings and research, today's daily reign and your streak, and your settings (sound, haptics, language and the daily reminder).

On iPhone and Android this uses the app's private storage. In a web browser it uses the browser's local storage for that site. This data never leaves your device.

What the game sends

Nothing while you play. If you tap Share after a reign ends, the text goes wherever you choose to send it, using your device's own share sheet or clipboard.

The daily reminder

The reminder is off unless you turn it on in Settings. When it's on, your phone schedules a local notification for 7 pm each day. It is created on your device and doesn't use a push notification service, so no identifier or message passes through a server.

Game updates (iPhone and Android)

When the app starts, it asks Expo's update service (EAS Update) whether newer game content, such as new cards or fixes, is available, and downloads it if so. The request includes the app version, the platform and a random identifier generated for this installation, which Expo uses to deliver updates correctly. It is not linked to your identity and is not used for advertising or tracking. Uninstalling the app deletes it. See Expo's privacy policy.

This website

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse. The site itself sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads its fonts, images and video from this site rather than from third parties. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

The web version of the game

If you play the web version, it is served by Expo's hosting service (EAS Hosting), which processes the same kind of standard request information to deliver the page. The game itself does not receive or store it.

Deleting your data

Delete the app, or clear the site's data in your browser settings, and everything the game saved is gone. You can also wipe it from inside the game: Settings, then Reset all progress. Because there are no accounts, there is nothing stored about you anywhere else to delete.

Children

Because the game collects no personal information, it collects none from children either.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
